PDDP
Human Resource Development

PDDP helps to develop and implement training packages on sustainable & participatory lcoal development. Through training programmes, seminars, and publications PDDP orients professionals, programme staff, local authorities, government agencies, NGOs, political parties and the private sector on participatory local development.

Settlement level
PDDP, through its VDP component, offers opportunities for LTF in organising training programmes meant to develop a cadre of village specialists and individual entrepreneurs to enhance their skills in prioritised areas.

District level
In order to mainstream the human resource development (HRD) process in the district and to cater to the need of local skill enhancement, PDDP helps the DDCs to become HRD focal points by helping them establish Human Resource Development Units. These Units assess the human resource development need of the districts and chalk out appropriate strategies to address the prioritised needs.

The programme also provides training on PD Planning & Monitoring, data collection and analysis, GIS etc. to DDC/O staff.

National level
PDDP also helps to develop and implement training packages on sustainable and participatory development and social mobilization approaches at the national and local levels. Through training programmes, seminars and publications, it orients professionals, programme staff, DDCs, VDCs, government officials, NGOs, political parties and the private sector on participatory development and decentralised local governance.

It collaborates with national training institutions, NGOs and others to impart knowledge and skills to government officials, and preparing relevant training manuals.
