Namaste !!

This issue of the PDDP Bulletin brings you upto date with the progress made under the various components of the Programme. We have tried to list as many stories that depict the impact made in the lives of rural Nepalis as well as in the functioning of the local authorities.

We have introduce ed a new column from this issue.. ApproTech. As the name suggests, we shall be featuring news and information about products that rural Nepalis can use to improve their productivity in the field and in the home. This issue features a Sasto (cheap) Solar Dryer technology promoted by the Intermediate Technology Development Group. We shall be introducing more products as well as news about the successes of appropriate technology elsewhere in the region. We would appreciate it if readers can provide us with information about such products that would make life easier and more productive for the rural farmers in Nepal.

Besides our other features we have included viewpoint in poetic form from the DDC Chairman of Palpa. We have also included the views of the DDC Member from Parbat who does not let his disability be a problem in working for the development of his district.
